From your desktop web browser, you can sign up and have a text message sent to your phone with a download link. From your mobile phone, you can visit www.trueyardage.com/dl.asp.

The program will download on your phone in roughly 1 minute. You should note that if you should have a data plan in order to avoid charges for downloading data.

True Yardage is very accurate, within two yards at any one moment. However, True Yardage may on occasion take a few seconds to update the location and update the yardage to the green.

Additionally, there may be some changes to the golf course (bunkers, new tees, etc.) that are not reflected on the True Yardage map.

The large bold number at the center of the green is the distance from your ball to the center of the green. The smaller number at the bottom of the screen is the distance of your ball to the front of the green, and the other smaller number at the top of the screen is the distance of your ball to the back of the green.

True Yardage functions on the Blackberry Curve (AT&T), Pearl (AT&T), or 8100/8130 (all carriers except Verizon). At this time True Yardage only functions on these phones.

Currently, True Yardage works on the AT&T/Cingular, Sprint/Nextel, and T-Mobile networks.

True Yardage has released a Beta version to the public for free at this time so there is ZERO cost to anyone who wants to use our product.

True Yardage has mapped most of the courses in the Chicagoland area. You can view the complete list here.

If the program freezes, you will need to restart your phone and open True Yardage up again. True Yardage will automatically open back up to the hole that you were playing on.
